Reflexology.

A practice that originated several thousand years ago in the Far East, reflexology is the application of finger pressure to various points on the feet. This practice reinforces the Eastern health care approach that the body is divided into energy zones called meridians. These align with all of the body’s systems and control their functions. Certain reflex points found on the feet correspond to this ‘body map’ and by applying pressure to these particular points the therapist enhances the body’s general wellbeing and condition. Research has shown that the beneficial effects of reflexology:

  • Reduces tension.

  • Reduces Stress.

  • Boost the body’s natural coping mechanism.

  • Enhances mood.

  • Boost fertility.

  •  Increased sports performance.

  • Helps with sleep problems.

  • Helps balance hormones for weight loss.

  • Improves energy levels.

The therapist uses light pressure to the whole foot including the soles, using fingers, thumbs and knuckles. Typically each session lasts up to 1 hour and a full health consultation last about 15mins.
